How hard it is to get your first DJ gig?
At Tulum DJ Academy, we offer a Platinum Package course that provides aspiring DJs with the necessary training and support to kickstart their careers. Once you have completed the course and passed a test, we offer to set you up with your first gig in Tulum. This can give you the opportunity to perform in front of a live audience, gain exposure, experience, and build your confidence as a DJ.
Do I need any prior experience to enroll in the courses?
No, you do not need any prior experience to enroll in the courses. We offer courses for beginners, as well as intermediate and advanced levels for more experienced DJs.
How can I enroll in a course?

How long are the courses?
We offer various packages for our courses, each with a different duration. Our packages range from 10 to 15 classes, with each class being 1.5 hours long. The duration of the course will depend on the package you choose, as well as your level of experience as a DJ. In addition, our students will also receive individual studio training time as part of their course, which is included in the price.

Does Tulum DJ Academy offer production classes?
Yes, we offer production classes for students who are interested in learning how to produce their own music.
Our Music Production course teaches you how to build a track from scratch—turning ideas into a finished, release-ready production. Whether you’re starting from zero or already producing and want to level up, we focus on practical skills, clear structure, and real feedback.
You’ll learn the full workflow: melody and harmony, arrangement, sound design, vocal production, mixing, and mastering—so you can confidently finish more music and develop a sound that’s actually yours.
Does Tulum DJ Academy offer DJ set recording service?
Yes, we offer artist recording services in various locations, including outdoor and eye-catching locations.
What languages are your courses available in?
We offer courses and classes both in English and Spanish.

Do you offer any courses in person?
Yes. We offer tailored online sessions, but our priority is in-person, 1-on-1 training in Tulum. Studio time, real feedback, and our creative community are a core part of the experience. While online coaching is available, the full Tulum DJ Academy journey is designed to be lived on-site.
How often do we meet for a lesson?
It’s really depends on the student’s preference and schedule. Tulum DJ academy is flexible and can accommodate classes once a day or once a week.
Do I need my own equipment at home?
It is not a requirement to have your own equipment at home, but it can be beneficial for practice purposes. If you have your own equipment at home, it will be more comfortable and convenient for you to practice and develop your skills.
Can I practice in your studio?
Yes. Tulum DJ academy offers studio time practice as part of our DJ course packages. In addition, we also rent out the studio to individuals who would like to practice on their own.
I work full-time, would it be possible to take this course on weekends or during evening hours?
Yes, it is possible to schedule the course during evenings or weekends to accommodate the student’s schedule. However, it is necessary to book the classes in advance to ensure availability. Our instructorsare flexible and can work with the student to create a schedule that fits their needs and goals.

What equipment does Tulum DJ academy use to record the DJ sets?
We use a range of high-quality equipment to ensure the best possible recording. This includes four different cameras, including a drone, to capture different angles and perspectives. Additionally, we use an audio recording device to capture the sound with high fidelity. During the DJ sets, the equipment used includes CDJ 2000 NXS players and a Pioneer DJM-900NXS2 mixer, which are industry-standard equipment known for their reliability and functionality.
